An inmate pleaded guilty Feb. 24 in a Long Island court for plotting the kidnapping and beating of a former county prosecutor from his upstate prison cell, where he is already serving 37 years to life for a homicide.
The intended victim of Chandran Nathan’s attack was the same former Nassau County assistant district attorney who prosecuted him for shooting 20-year-old student Shaleen Wadhwani to death in Manhasset in 1993, according to Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.
