The decision of Southern District Judge Loretta Preska to take senior status effective March 1 opens up a second vacancy on the court. Preska, who also recently completed a term as the district’s chief judge, added a second slot for President Donald Trump to fill to the long-running opening created by the decision of Judge Paul Crotty to go senior in March 2015.
