Authorities say an investigator for a central New York district attorney’s office has been charged in a hit-and-run accident that has left a teenager in critical condition.

The Syracuse Police Department said 37-year-old Peter Rauch, of Liverpool, was charged with leaving the scene of a serious personal injury accident, an “E” felony. Police say the collision occurred around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at an intersection in the city.
