A Nassau County elected official who is of counsel to Rivkin Radler was arraigned on March 31 on federal wire fraud and tax evasion charges for allegedly defrauding his former employer, another Long Island-based firm.

Edward Ambrosino, 52, a Town of Hempstead councilman who has been in office since 2003, is accused of diverting $800,000 of revenue from his former employer into an account he controls and failing to pay more than $250,000 in federal taxes, according to a news release from the Eastern District U.S. Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn.
