Attorneys representing a credit card company in a contract dispute with MasterCard claim they’re entitled to $4.6 million in fees because MasterCard prolonged litigation by four years.

In court papers filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, lawyers with Hoguet Newman Regal & Kenney claimed MasterCard withheld its successful, case-ending argument until the last minute, costing everyone involved an unnecessary amount of time and money.
