Inquiries from judges who want to march in protest, sign online petitions and join grassroots activities have prompted the Committee on Judicial Ethics to issue an opinion on the matter.
Several full-time judges asked if they could join the March for Science on April 22—Earth Day—which the committee said aims to “recognize the importance of scientific endeavors and rational thought in society.”
