An attorney who scrambled to catch up on 10 years of litigation in a discrimination suit and then secured a settlement on the eve of trial is finally going to get paid following a decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Civil rights attorney Prathima Reddy had only a few weeks in 2012 to get up to speed on the long-running case of Dr. Gwendolyn Cole-Hoover, a black physician who had brought an employment discrimination action against officials with New York State Department of Correctional Services.
