The Nassau County Bar Association recognized service to the community and legal profession during its annual Law Day event.

Affatato court employee of the year award; Eastern District Judge Joseph Bianco, who was keynote speaker; bar president-elect Steven Leventhal of Leventhal, Cursio, Mullaney & Sliney; bar community relations and public education committee chairman Ira Slavit of Levine & Slavit; bar director Greg Lisi; and Nassau County Police Officer Ken Lack representing First Commander Gary Shapiro, who received the bar’s Liberty Bell Award for working with students to create videos about hate crime that are used by schools and law enforcement across the country.
