Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Friday he wants the process of selecting a replacement for the late state Court of Appeals Judge Sheila Abdus-Salaam completed nearly three months sooner than the timetable called for in state Judiciary Law.
The governor said in a statement that it is “unacceptable” for the court to have only six judges until the fall as a result of Abdus-Salaam’s death April 12.
