Two days after the New York Civil Liberties Union filed suit against the Buffalo City School District for alleged discrimination, the district has agreed to change its policies regarding LGBTQ students.

The NYCLU said late Friday that the district’s superintendent has directed staff to help students form a Gay-Straight Alliance at McKinley High School and allow seniors to attend prom with their guest of choice, under the age of 21, regardless of gender.
