An investor class action case transferred into the Southern District Friday, alleging a fishing operation that produces food and supplement ingredients misled investors over multiple federal investigations over environmental law violations and whistleblower intimidation.

The case, Ahern v. Omega Protein Corporation et al, 1:17-cv-03778, was moved from the Central District of California at the request of the plaintiffs to bring it into the same jurisdiction as a parallel investor suit, Diehl v. Omega Protein Corporation et al, 1:17-cv-02448, already proceeding.
