Q: What are some of your proudest recent achievements?
A: I am proud and honored to have been named one of this year’s Distinguished Leaders; selected by Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office to sit on the New York State Judicial Screening Committees for the State and the First Department; selected as a member of the Mayor’s Committee on City Marshals; elected a member of the Bronx Legal Services Board of Directors; the first Latina appointed counsel to the Bronx Democratic Party; and opening my own practice and serving as a resource to my community. But I am proudest of having achieved balance in my life, which I define as making each constituency I serve, including my husband, three small children and extended family, feel like it is my number one priority.
