MATTER OF PAUL D. KRAFT, ADMITTED AS PAUL DAVID KRAFT, A SUSPENDED ATTORNEY. — Motion by Paul D. Kraft for reinstatement to the Bar as an attorney and counselorat-law. Mr. Kraft was admitted to the Bar at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on September 16, 2009, under the name Paul David Kraft. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated April 23, 2014, Mr. Kraft was immediately suspended from the practice of law pursuant to Judiciary Law §90(4)(f) based on his conviction of a serious crime, the Grievance Committee for the Second, Eleventh, and Thirteenth Judicial Districts was authorized to institute and prosecute a disciplinary proceeding against him, and the matter was referred to the Honorable Kenneth Davis, as Special Referee, to hear and report. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated July 7, 2014, the matter was reassigned to the Honorable Arthur Cooperman. By opinion and order of this Court dated May 20, 2015, Mr. Kraft was suspended from the practice of law for a period of one year, with credit for the time elapsed under the interim order of suspension, with leave to apply for reinstatement immediately. By decision and order on motion of this Court dated October 30, 2015, Mr. Kraft's motion for reinstatement was held in abeyance, and the matter was referred to the Committee on Character and Fitness to investigate and report on Mr. Kraft's current character and general fitness to practice law. Mr. Kraft has not responded to the Committee on Character and Fitness's three written requests for documents in advance of the hearing, and no hearing was conducted.
