*1 Defendants County of Washington and Washington County Sheriff’s Department (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Washington County”) seek an order granting summary judgment pursuant to CPLR 3212. Discovery is now complete and the Note of Issue and Certificate of Readiness have been filed.The underlying factual allegations are that, following plaintiff’s transport from the Warren County Jail to the Washington County Courthouse for a Family Court proceeding, she suffered a seizure and fell to the floor in the courtroom — while restrained in handcuffs — and sustained personal injuries as a result.
