ESTATE OF JOSEPH WARD A/K/A JOSEPH K. WARD, Deceased (16-1026/A) — In this final accounting of the Public Administrator in the estate of Joseph Ward, the guardian ad litem for unknown distributees seeks authorization to sign a stipulation under which an alleged distributee withdraws his kinship objections and an alleged creditor withdraws a claim (CPLR 3217). The guardian ad litem recommends the settlement is in the best interests of her wards. The court agrees, and therefore grants the request of the guardian ad litem.There being no proof submitted to establish the identity of decedent’s distributees, the Public Administrator shall deposit the net estate with the Commissioner of Finance of the City of New York for the benefit of unknown distributees.The Public Administrator shall supplement her account by affidavit and, as so supplemented, the account is settled.Settle decree.Dated: January 8, 2019
