Surrogate Mella GUARDIANSHIP OF RICHARD H., a Ward (13-2623) — The SCPA Article 17-A guardian of the property of Richard H. petitions to transfer all assets in the guardianship to the trustee of a supplemental needs trust (SNT) that was previously directed to be established by this court in a prior application by the guardian. The petitioning guardian also serves as the trustee of the SNT. The transfer is necessary to permit the disabled ward to obtain certain benefits and should be granted. In light of the transfer, counsel to petitioner has confirmed that there will be no further need for a property guardianship for this ward. Upon confirmation by affidavit of the guardian or her counsel, to be filed within 60 days of the order to be entered herein, that all assets in the guardianship, which includes an interest in real property, have been transferred, the letters of property guardianship shall be revoked and of no further effect.
