Surrogate Anderson ESTATE OF XIU ZHEN PAN, Deceased (13-4823/ABC) — The proposed compromise of a cause of action for decedent’s wrongful death and conscious pain and suffering is approved. The restrictions contained in the letters issued to the administrator are removed and he is authorized to collect the settlement and execute the necessary receipts and releases. The proceeds are allocated 50 percent to the cause of action for wrongful death and 50 percent to the cause of action for conscious pain and suffering. The compensation and disbursements of the attorney for the administrator are fixed and determined The administrator is authorized to pay the Department of Social Service $17,500 in full satisfaction of its claim, pursuant to a stipulation filed with the court. The net proceeds shall be distributed to decedent’s children as set forth in the decree. The account is settled and the decree signed. Dated: October 11, 2019

Surrogate Mella GUARDIANSHIP OF RICHARD H., a Ward (13-2623) — The SCPA Article 17-A guardian of the property of Richard H. petitions to transfer all assets in the guardianship to the trustee of a supplemental needs trust (SNT) that was previously directed to be established by this court in a prior application by the guardian. The petitioning guardian also serves as the trustee of the SNT. The transfer is necessary to permit the disabled ward to obtain certain benefits and should be granted. In light of the transfer, counsel to petitioner has confirmed that there will be no further need for a property guardianship for this ward. Upon confirmation by affidavit of the guardian or her counsel, to be filed within 60 days of the order to be entered herein, that all assets in the guardianship, which includes an interest in real property, have been transferred, the letters of property guardianship shall be revoked and of no further effect. Petitioner will remain guardian of the person of Richard H. Order signed. Clerk to notify. Dated: October 11, 2019
