ESTATE OF IRENE PLUMERI, Deceased (18-906/A/B/C) — In this uncontested miscellaneous proceeding, the administrator of the estate of Irene Plumeri seeks permission to collect and distribute the proceeds of a recovery from the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (the “Fund”) and further seeks judicial settlement of his account with respect to those proceeds. This award compensates for personal injuries and wrongful death of the decedent based on her residence in the New York City Exposure Zone around the World Trade Center site, following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The administrator’s petition is granted. The restrictions contained in the letters issued to him are removed, and he is authorized to collect the amount due from the Fund and to execute the necessary receipts and releases. The fees and disbursements of petitioner’s attorney are fixed and determined, and petitioner has waived statutory commissions. The funeral expenses have been paid by petitioner in his individual capacity, and he is authorized to reimburse himself from the net proceeds. The balance of the net proceeds shall be distributed to decedent’s issue in accordance with EPTL 4-1.1(a)(3). The account is settled, and the decree is signed. Dated: December 31, 2019
