DECISION AND ORDER GRANTING DEFENDANTS’ MOTION TO DISMISS THE FIRST AMENDED COMPLAINT In this action, Plaintiff Malika Heron sues her former employer, Medrite Testing, LLC, and Christopher Schrier (together, “Defendants”), alleging that she was fired in retaliation for exercising her rights as guaranteed by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. §2000e et seq. (“Title VII”), the New York State Human Rights Law, N.Y. Exec. Law §290 et seq. (the “NYSHRL”); and the New York City Human Rights Law, N.Y.C. Admin. Code §8-101 et seq. (the “NYCHRL”). Plaintiff seeks an award of compensatory damages, punitive damages, and attorney’s fees. See First Amended Complaint, Dkt. No. 16, filed January 10, 2022. Defendants move to dismiss the First Amended Complaint for failure to state a claim up which relief can be granted. For the reasons set forth below, Defendants’ motion to dismiss is GRANTED.
