ESTATE OF ANGELA CARMONA, Deceased (20-2093) — In this application by one of the decedent’s granddaughters for the issuance of letters of administration, citation issued to two other grandchildren, and there was no appearance in opposition on the virtual hearing date nor was any opposition to the application received by the court to date. Notice was also given to three great-grandchildren, the children of a post-deceased son and only other distributees. Accordingly the application is granted and letters of administration may issue to the petitioner. Submit decree. May 13, 2022

ESTATE OF ARCHIE FAMOUS Jr., Deceased (15-2946/A) — The administrator, a daughter of the decedent, seeks to judicially account for and distribute the remaining proceeds of causes of action settled in the Supreme Court, Bronx County (Silver, J.). The supreme court order, inter alia, directed the payment of counsel fees, disbursements and a Medicaid claim. The decedent sustained injuries while being transported in an ambulette and died intestate on May 21, 2015. In addition to the petitioner, his distributees are a spouse and another daughter. Both daughters were over the age of 21 on the date of death. Under the circumstances presented, including the consents of the other distributees and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, and the lack of any other debts or claims presented herein, the request to allocate the net distributable proceeds equally to the causes of action for personal injury and wrongful death is granted. The remaining funds allocated to personal injury are to be paid to the spouse and the daughters pursuant to EPTL 4-1.1 (a) (1). The funds allocated to wrongful death are to be paid to the spouse. Decree signed. May 13, 2022
