Surrogate Anderson ESTATE OF HENRY PRIDE, Deceased (19-813 B, C, D) — Decedent was diagnosed with cancer and died, allegedly as a result of exposure to dust from the collapse of the World Trade Center towers. In this proceeding, the administrator of decedent’s estate seeks permission to collect and distribute proceeds from the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (the “Fund”) and further seeks judicial settlement of her account with respect to those proceeds. All interested parties have waived and consented to the requested relief. The administrator’s petition is granted. The restrictions contained in the letters issued to her are modified to permit her to collect and distribute the proceeds from the Fund, and she is authorized to execute the necessary receipts and releases. The allocation set forth in the Fund’s award letter between economic damages and non-economic damages is approved. Petitioner’s attorney’s fees are fixed and determined as set forth in the decree, and the net settlement proceeds shall be distributed in accordance with the petition. The account is settled, and the decree is signed. Dated: May 17, 2022
