ESTATE OF AIMEE IRIZARRY, Deceased (20-542/A) — The administrator, the decedent’s son and sole distributee, seeks to lift the restrictions on his limited letters of administration so that he may judicially account for and distribute the proceeds of claims filed with the September 11th Victims Compensation Fund (VCF). The VCF determined an award and allocated the proceeds in accord with VCF guidelines. The decedent died intestate on March 11, 2019. The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance consents to the application. Counsel fees which are in accord with the VCF guidelines are allowed in the sum requested. An award for funeral expenses incurred and the net distributable proceeds allocated to personal injury and wrongful death are to be paid to the son. Decree signed. October 24, 2022

GUARDIANSHIP OF AMBER AMARIS RIVERA Pursuant to SCPA Art. 17-A (22-970) — Upon reading and filing the petition of YVETTE VAI-LE & SAMUEL RIVERA, duly verified the 13 day of December, 2019, applying for appointment of a guardian of the person of AMBER AMARIS RIVERA, (an intellectually disabled) person, and the certifications of Richard Zelhof, Ph.D. and Elmer C. Arteaga, M.D., dated May 3, 2019 and April 20, 2022, respectively, and the matter having come on to be heard on September 21 2022, and the Court having found that AMBER AMARIS RIVERA is (an intellectually disabled) person, incapable of managing herself and/or her affairs by reason of (intellectual disability), and that such condition is permanent in nature or likely to continue indefinitely and that the best interests of said person would be promoted by the appointment of a guardian of her person, and the Court having rendered a decision in writing dated the dale of entry of this decree, it is hereby ORDERED that YVETTE VALLE & SAMUEL RIVERA, upon taking the official oath and filing the designation as required by law, be and hereby is appointed guardian of the person of AMBER AMARIS RIVERA: and it is further ORDERED that N/A (is) appointed standby guardian(s) for said (intellectually disabled) (developmentally disabled) person, subject to the confirmation of this Court pursuant to section 1757 of the Surrogate’s Court Procedure Act; and it is further ORDERED that N/A (is) appointed first alternate standby guardian(s) for said (intellectually disabled) (developmentally disabled) person. subject to the confirmation of this Court pursuant to section 1757 of the Surrogate’s Court procedure Act; and it is further ORDERED that N/A (are) (is) appointed second alternate standby guardian(s) for said (intellectually disabled)(developmentally disabled) person. subject to the confirmation of this Court pursuant to section 1757 of the Surrogate’s Court Procedure Act; and it is further ORDERED that Letters of Guardianship of person be issued accordingly.
