Surrogate Gingold ESTATE OF EUGENIA VANREL, Deceased (14-3512/B/C/D) — The proposed compromise of the cause of action for decedent’s conscious pain and suffering is approved. The restrictions on the Letters of Limited Administration issued to the Administrator are modified to allow the above settlement. The Administrator is authorized to collect the settlement proceeds and to execute the necessary receipts and releases. Attorney’s fees and disbursements are fixed and determined. The Administrator is authorized to pay the sum of $11, 368.38 to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the sum of $8, 715.09 to the New York City Department of Social Services — Human Resources Administration in full satisfaction of their liens. She also is authorized to pay herself $3,000 as commissions and $215 to reimburse herself for decedent’s funeral expenses. Further, she is authorized to reimburse Raquel Vanrel in the sum of $2, 060 for decedent’s funeral expenses. The net proceeds shall be paid to decedent’s distributees as set forth in the decree. The account is settled, and the decree is signed. Dated: February 6, 2023
