ESTATE OF JAMES FELIPE, Deceased (19-3917/A/B/C) — The executor of the will of James Felipe seeks permission to collect and distribute the proceeds of a recovery from the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (hereinafter “VCF”) and further seeks judicial settlement of his account with respect to those proceeds. The executor’s petition is granted. The restrictions on the letters of administration are modified to the extent necessary to collect such proceeds, and he is authorized to collect the amount due from the fund and to execute the necessary receipts and releases. The award proceeds are allocated as requested in the petition, and in accordance with the award detail. The fees of executor’s attorney are fixed and determined as set forth in the decree. The executor is authorized to reimburse himself and Lillian Ramirez for funeral expenses in the amounts of 4,848.75 and $7,985.00, respectively. The balance of the sum awarded is to be distributed to decedent’s parents, for their pecuniary loss suffered pursuant to EPTL 5-4.4, and to the petitioner as executor of decedent’s will. The account is settled and the decree is signed. Dated: January 12, 2024
