Condominiums – Tax Certiorari – Court Orders $60 Million Assessment Reduction Relating to Trump Parc Condominium
This case involved a trial of a tax certiorari proceeding brought pursuant to Art. 7 of the Real Property Tax Law (RPTL), challenging real estate tax assessments (assessments) for the years 1994-95 through 2006-07. The assessments were levied on the petitioner’s property located at 106 Central Park South. The building was originally known as the Barbizon Plaza Hotel and had been converted to a residential condominium in 1988.
