More than five years after Manhattan publicist Elizabeth Grubman backed her father’s black Mercedes SUV into a crowd outside a Hamptons nightclub, the final legal action against her continues to wend its way through Manhattan Supreme Court.
Plaintiff Sarah Thorne claims to have suffered two broken ribs when struck by the SUV and a third when, after being thrown into the air, she struck the ground. She is seeking $5 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.
