And the Chicago-based behemoth Kirkland & Ellis has held onto its title as the largest law office in the Big Apple—while even sinking its talons deeper into that position.
The latest headcount ranking is based on New York offices of U.S-founded firms in 2023.
Kirkland saw another boost in Manhattan head count last year, growing by 6% to 842 lawyers and retaining its top spot as the largest firm in the state.
