Revel Casino Sells for $95M

Wellington, Fla.-based country club Polo North Country Club, the legal entity of businessman Glenn Straub, announced on Jan. 5 that it has purchased Atlantic City, N.J., hotel and casino Revel at auction for about $95 million. Straub argued that he should only have to pay $87 million because the auction dealings had a “lack of transparency,” but Camden, N.J., bankruptcy Judge Gloria Burns rejected the price change. John Cunningham of White & Case's New York City and Miami offices represented Revel in the transaction, while Wellington-based attorney Craig Galle advised Straub.

$11M Buy for Cantel Subsidiary

Mar Cor Purification, a Plymouth, Minn.-based division of Little Falls, N.J.-based medical equipment manufacturer Cantel Medical Corp., announced on Jan. 2 it has paid about $11.9 million cash to acquire fellow water purification company Pure Water Solutions of Ridgeland, Miss.

Delos Capital Acquires FCA

Delos Capital, a private equity firm in New York City, announced on Jan. 7 it has acquired Moline, Ill.-based industrial packaging company FCA Packaging. James Kim, Roger Iorio and Alan Rubin of Cole, Schotz, Meisel, Forman & Leonard in Hackensack, N.J., as well as Griffin Doty of its New York City office, represented Delos in the transaction, while Katten Muchin Rosenman in New York City advised FCA.
