A search committee at Seton Hall University School of Law is interviewing five finalists as it seeks to replace the law school's departing dean, Patrick Hobbs.

The finalists are Ray Brescia, an associate professor at Albany Law School; Alberto Coll, a professor at DePaul University College of Law; Raymond Pierce, a partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in Raleigh, North Carolina; and Seton Hall professors Kathleen Boozang and Erik Lillquist.

The finalists will each hold meetings in coming weeks with faculty, staff, students and alumni, according to Karen Boroff, a professor at Seton Hall's Stillman School of Business who is chair of the search committee. The committee, after receiving feedback from those groups, will make a recommendation to university Provost Larry Robinson, who will make the final decision, Boroff said. No firm date has been set for announcing the new dean but the process will likely be complete by June 30, according to Boroff.
