Celgene Buys Quanticel for $100M

Celgene Corp. in Summit on April 27 announced it has paid $100 million to acquire fellow pharmaceutical company Quanticel Pharmaceuticals, of San Diego. An additional $385 million will be contingent on scientific progress.

Queen Latifah Sells NJ Building

Entertainment production company Flavor Unit RE Holding Corp. of Miami Beach, Florida, owned by actress and rapper Queen Latifah and music producer Shakim Compere, announced on April 24 that it has sold its former production headquarters at 155 Morgan St. in Jersey City to N.J. Dragon Property, a recycling company, for about $2.2 million.

Camden Cement Facility Acquired

Cement-making company Essroc Italcementi Group in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, announced on April 23 it has acquired the cement-grinding facility at 595 Morgan Street in Camden, as well as a cement terminal in Everett, Massachusetts, from Bedford, Massachusetts-based cement manufacturer and supplier Holcim US Inc., the American headquarters of building company Holcim, of Jona, Switzerland.
