Fidelity Brokerage Services claims in a suit filed in federal court in Trenton that one of its financial advisers who supervised $1 billion in assets took client data with him when he abruptly quit to join Wells Fargo Advisors.
Fidelity seeks a restraining order against Kevin Carson, who worked as a vice president and financial consultant at its Shrewsbury investment center until he allegedly resigned without notice on June 5 and joined a Wells Fargo office in Red Bank.
The suit also seeks an order compelling arbitration of the dispute before a panel of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
