A man who fell in an unplowed parking lot after a snowfall settled his Monmouth County suit, Foley v. The Shopping Center at TCNJ, on Aug. 19 for $1.5 million.

In November 2012, Timothy Foley, 54, was in the parking lot of The Shopping Center at TCNJ, a strip mall on Route 34 in Colts Neck. He exited his vehicle after it became stuck in the snow, and slipped on what he later claimed was six to eight inches of untreated snow and ice, according to his lawyer, Norman Hobbie of Hobbie, Corrigan & Bertucio in Eatontown.

Foley claimed he sustained injuries to his neck, back and right wrist. He underwent wrist surgery, a one-level discectomy and fusion at the cervical level, and a second discectomy at the lumbar level, Hobbie said.
