A New Jersey man who obtained a $1.41 million judgment against his ex-wife’s former counsel for unwittingly facilitating the unauthorized transportation of their daughter overseas has lost in a bid to collect that money from the firm’s malpractice insurance carrier.

U.S. District Judge Esther Salas of the District of New Jersey on Sept. 11 tossed out Peter Innes’ suit against Saint Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Co., the carrier for Lesnevich & Marzano-Lesnevich of Hackensack.
