The summer proved to be steadily active in a rejuvenated mergers-and-acquisitions market, according to middle-market dealmaking lawyers in New Jersey.

And with the fourth quarter fast approaching, those lawyers said all signs point to a strong finish, even with financial market volatility.

“There was no slowdown—the deal space continues to be quite good,” said James Fischer, a partner in the corporate and securities practice group in the Florham Park office of Philadelphia-based Drinker Biddle & Reath.
