A legal malpractice suit against a New Jersey firm, lodged by a dentist whom the firm sued for objecting to a fee award in a class action settlement, has been yanked for good.

In an order made public Nov. 4, the New Jersey Supreme Court denied a petition for certification in the case against Roseland’s Mazie Slater Katz & Freeman and firm partner Eric Katz, accused of malpractice for litigating against a class member in a class suit over a dental insurer’s claims-payment practices.
