Kia Motors America has agreed to mediate a putative class action concerning engine defects after a federal judge denied the company’s motion to dismiss.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Hammer approved a plan for private mediation in lieu of commencing formal discovery Nov. 10 in Robinson v. Kia Motors America.
