Rights Alright—A complaint alleging violations of the Americans With Disabilities Act by the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts, Vicinage I of the Superior Court and the state of New Jersey has been dismissed by the Superior Court Appellate Division.

Peter Stone claimed the defendants violated his rights under the ADA after receiving a judgment from the Superior Court Chancery Division that there was no reason to appoint a guardian ad litem for his brother, Roger B. Stone III.

In the underlying case, Peter Stone had sought the appointment of a guardian ad litem for his brother, who, he claimed, suffered from mental disabilities. After a psychiatrist found no evidence of a major psychiatric disorder, the chancery judge denied the guardian ad litem and ordered Larry Stone to pay for the $500 evaluation, the Superior Court's Dec. 2 opinion in Stone v. New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts said.
