The New Jersey Judiciary has shown that it's poised to move swiftly on the proposed adoption of the Uniform Bar Exam in the state, but a January recommendation now appears unlikely.

The comment period for the ad hoc committee on the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) was pushed back for a second time, to Jan. 22.

“We have not gotten a tremendous number of comments”—only 10 to be exact—”but we did hear from some who asked for more time,” said Judiciary spokeswoman Winnie Comfort, adding that such deadlines are regularly extended by request.
