The New Jersey Supreme Court on Thursday overturned a decision awarding a shore apartment complex owner coverage in excess of its $1 million policy for debris cleanup after Superstorm Sandy.

In a 6-1 ruling, the majority said in Oxford Realty Group Cedar v. Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines that the policy was unambiguous in setting limits of coverage for all damages, including debris removal, at $1 million.

The majority's ruling reinstates a trial judge's order and overturns an Appellate Division ruling in favor of the plaintiff.
