The New Jersey Senate on Thursday confirmed five of Gov. Chris Christie's nominees to the Superior Court bench.

The new judges are Stanley Bergman of Margate, Benjamin Podolnick of Northfield, John Eastlack of Wenonah, Michael Silvanio of Mantua, and Edward Hoffman of Marlton.

• Bergman, who heads a firm in Egg Harbor Township, focuses on estate planning. Bergman has run his own firm since 2006. From 1997 to 2006, he was with Brown & Bergman in Atlantic City. From 1995 to 1996, Bergman was with Carchman, Socher, Schwartz & Regsdale in West Atlantic City, and from 1991 to 1994, he was with Megargee, Youngblood, Franklin & Corcoran in Pleasantville. He is a graduate of New York Law School and Albright College.
