Greenberg Traurig Sponsors Family Promise of Morris County's Community Impact Award Dinner
For the 12th consecutive year, Greenberg Traurig's Florham Park office has supported Family Promise of Morris County's (FPMC) annual dinner, “An Evening of Promise: Honoring Volunteers and Community Service.” This year, congregation coordinator for Ledgewood Baptist Church, Becky Pruitt, received the 2017 “Community Impact Award” for her commitment to hosting Family Promise families by organizing meals and lodging. The dinner was held March 30, 2017, at Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph. “We remain committed to supporting the critical work that Family Promise of Morris County does for those who are at-risk in our community,” said partner Barry Schindler, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig's Global Patent Prosecution Group and chairperson of the Corporate Leadership Council of Family Promise of Morris County.
|Haygood Receives Thurgood Marshall College Fund Award
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) presented Ryan Haygood with the “Award of Excellence” for achievements in his profession at the seventeenth annual “Awards of Excellence” dinner on March 30, 2017, at Nanina's In the Park, Belleville. “Thurgood Marshall inspired me to become a civil rights lawyer,” said Haygood, president and CEO of the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice. “I'm honored to receive the Thurgood Marshall College Fund Award of Excellence in his name.” Proceeds from the event benefit the work of TMCF, the leading advocate for the nation's publicly supported historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
|Einhorn Harris Executive Director Named President of NJALA
Kurt Brown, executive director of Einhorn Harris Ascher Barbarito & Frost in Denville, was recently named president of the New Jersey Association of Legal Administrators. NJALA, which is celebrating its 50th year in 2017, is dedicated to the continued improvement of law office operations through monthly educational programs, the publication of a bimonthly newsletter and by encouraging networking with other administrators, managers and functional specialists. “We pride ourselves on hiring attorneys and support staff who go above and beyond, not just for Einhorn Harris but for the entire legal community. We are extremely proud of Kurt and wish him a successful term as president of the NJALA,” said Patricia Barbarito, managing partner at Einhorn Harris. Brown joined the firm in 2011 after several years in other New York and New Jersey law firms. In his capacity as executive director of Einhorn Harris, he oversees the daily activities of the firm and works collaboratively with the executive committee, other attorneys, managers, support staff, and facilities. Brown has been a member of the NJALA for several years, serving in a number of other board positions, including trustee, treasurer and vice president. “I am excited about the opportunity to continue my work with the New Jersey Association of Legal Administrators,” Brown said, “and am proud to be among an amazing, smart, strong, adaptable group of people, and to be part of an invaluable resource to legal managers in New Jersey.”
