New Jersey lawmakers may help travelers quench their thirsts in the wee hours of the morning at Newark Liberty International Airport.

The state Legislature took a step forward Monday to make it possible for air travelers to have an adult beverage after other bars in the state are closed for the night.

A-2419 received the unanimous support of the Assembly Regulatory Oversight and Reform and Federal Relations Committee. It now goes to the full Assembly for consideration. The Senate and Gov. Chris Christie would also have to approve it.
