A Pompton Lakes man is set to receive $2.13 million as compensation for injuries he sustained when his car went out of control after what he claimed was a near-collision with a street sweeper.

In Steuer v. Litter Patrol Sweeping Co., plaintiff Jason Steuer, 40, and Penn National Insurance Co., the carrier for defendant Litter Patrol Sweeping Co., agreed to the settlement on June 1—a little more than a month after a Hudson County jury awarded Steuer about that sum in damages, said Steuer’s attorney, Craig Rothenberg.
