Supreme Court: Appellate Division Must Review Interlocutory Appeal on Portee Claims

The Supreme Court issued an order reversing an Appellate Division decision declining interlocutory review of the right of a domestic partner to file a Portee claim after witnessing the death of a non-biological child. The New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) sought to participate as amicus curiae, urging interlocutory appeal and reversal of the trial court's decision in Moreland v. Parks, Docket No. A-0004754-16T4.
