Two high-ranking officials in the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety are leaving, Attorney General Christopher Porrino has announced.

First Assistant Attorney General Rebecca Ricigliano is resigning to join the law firm world, Porrino said Tuesday, while Executive Assistant Attorney General Deborah Edwards is retiring. Peter Slocum, now counsel to Porrino, will replace Ricigliano, effective Aug. 23.

Ricigliano is joining the New York office of Washington, D.C.'s Crowell & Moring, where she will be a partner in the firm's white-collar and regulatory enforcement group, the firm said in a separate statement.
