The New Jersey Supreme Court has agreed to take up the case of a teacher seeking higher disability payments based on a series of scuffles with high school students that she claims led her to quit.
A divided Appellate Division panel ruled in April that the teacher, Jaclyn Thompson, was not entitled to a higher rate of benefits, despite her claims of emotional trauma.
