Gebhardt & Kiefer in Clinton Township brings on board Matthew P. Lyons as a partner. His practice will focus on civil litigation, primarily in municipal, insurance defense, civil rights, and representation of municipal government and other public entities. Lyons has nearly 25 years of experience, including extensive experience in local government. He served for six years as county counsel for Gloucester County, and four years as assistant county counsel. As a public servant, Lyons served for eight years on the Township Council for Washington Township (Gloucester County). He served as mayor for two years and council president for four years. In addition, he served as public defender for the Glassboro Borough, planning board solicitor for the Mantua Township, commissioner for the Tri-County Joint Insurance Fund, and assistant counsel for the Gloucester County Board of Social Services. In his private practice, Lyons has done extensive trial work specializing in civil defense litigation, including civil rights matters, claims against public entities, automobile negligence, and products liability. He holds a B.S. in business administration from Villanova University and a J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Davison, Eastman, Muñoz, Lederman & Paone in Freehold brought on Greg S. Gargulinski as partner, expanding the firm's criminal and municipal court defense practice. Gargulinski joins the firm from Ansell Grimm & Aaron in Ocean, where he began his career in 2001. He focuses on criminal law and municipal court defense. In this capacity, he has represented clients in matters involving DWI/DUI, as well as criminal defense at the state, appellate and federal levels. Gargulinski is a former law clerk to Superior Court Judge Ira E. Kreizman and is the former acting public defender of Manalapan Township. Conte, former judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, who has joined the firm as of counsel in the newly opened Hackensack office. Conte brings 20 years of experience as a Superior Court judge to his current practice focusing on mediation, land use cases and commercial real estate matters. Prior to his appointment to the Superior Court, Conte was engaged in the practice of law in Paramus. He served as a municipal court judge for Ringwood, Upper Saddle River, Wallington and Rochelle Park. He also served as a public defender for Paramus, attorney for the Paramus library board and special borough attorney for Ringwood. Most recently he was appointed an advisor to the Instituto de Seguridad y Proteccion of the Sistema Universitario Ana G. Mendez in Puerto Rico. Stark & Stark in Princeton brought on attorneys Sherri Warfel, a partner, and Alex Fajardo, an associate, to the firm's nursing home litigation group.
