Mandelbaum Salsburg Adds Four Attorneys
Mandelbaum Salsburg in Roseland welcomes of counsel Damian P. Conforti, counsel Ryan M. Buehler, and associates Shawna A. Brown and Edward Dabek Jr. William S. Damian P. Conforti joins the firm as of counsel and co-chair of the firm's Government Enforcement and White-Collar Crime Practice Group, where he defends corporate and individual clients from governmental investigations and criminal charges brought by the U.S. Attorney's Office, State Attorneys General, and district attorneys. He also represents health-care practitioners, accountants, securities brokers, government officials and other professionals in regulatory and civil disputes with licensing agencies, regulatory boards, and insurance companies. He is a former assistant prosecutor with the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office where he prosecuted several hundred criminal cases including homicides, drug offenses, violent offenses and white-collar crimes. Previously, he was appointed a municipal prosecutor in Jersey City and a municipal public defender for the boroughs of North Caldwell and Essex Fells. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner at a white-collar criminal and government investigations boutique law firm. He is currently the co-chair of the Essex County Bar Association Criminal Law Committee. Conforti is admitted in both New Jersey and New York, as well as before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a Seton Hall University Law School graduate.
Ryan M. Buehler joins the firm's litigation department as counsel, where he will concentrate his practice in the area of commercial litigation. Buehler has represented clients before the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division, Federal Court for the District of New Jersey, and municipal boards. He has represented commercial clients in matters involving, among other issues: lease disputes, contract disputes, partnership disputes, construction lien claims, tax liens, employment disputes, land use disputes, property rights, torts and environmental law. Buehler has also represented various clients in connection with mediations and arbitration proceedings. He received his J.D. from American University-Washington College of Law and his B.S. from Saint Joseph's University. He is admitted in New Jersey.
Shawna A. Brown joins the firm's growing Elder Law, Trusts and Estates and Special Needs Practice Groups as an associate. She focuses her practice on estate administration and litigation, including contested and uncontested probate, administration and accounting proceedings. Prior to joining Mandelbaum Salsburg, she was an associate at a New York City law firm where she counseled the Public Administrator of New York County in connection with estate administration. She earned her B.A. from Rutgers University and her J.D. from New York Law School. She is admitted in New York and New Jersey.
Edward Dabek Jr. has joined the firm's Banking and Financial Services and Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Practice Groups as an associate, where he represents commercial lenders, factors, finance companies, debt funds and private equity funds in the structuring and negotiation of secured and unsecured lending transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Dabek was with a boutique finance and securities firm. He received his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a member of the Seton Hall Circuit Review Law Journal. He received his B.S. degree in business administration from The College of New Jersey. Dabek is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey.
Saiber Welcomes Ami Foger as Counsel
Saiber is pleased to welcome Ami Foger, who joins the firm's business services practice. Foger has over 10 years of experience handling a range of corporate matters, including general corporate counseling, commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and data security. He has represented clients in various industries, including consumer products, energy, pharmaceuticals and technology. He will be resident in the firm's Florham Park office. Foger received his B.A. from Rutgers University in 2003 and his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (summa cum laude). Prior to joining Saiber, he served as an associate at Sherman Wells Sylvester & Stamelman in Florham Park.
Harwood Lloyd Welcomes Leidy Gutierrez
Harwood Lloyd in Hackensack welcomes Leidy Gutierrez as an associate in its general litigation department. She received her B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University, magna cum laude, in 2011. She received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2016. While in law school, Gutierrez interned for the Hon. James B. Clark III., U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, and for the Hon. Estela De La Cruz, Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Bergen County. She also served as judicial law clerk to the Hon. Bonnie J. Mizdol, Assignment Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County, for the 2016-17 term. She served as president of the Latin American Law Students Association and was a member of the law school's Diversity Council. She also served as student clinical associate in the Immigrant's Rights/International Human Rights Clinic at Seton Hall Law's Center for Social Justice. She is a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (Young Lawyers Committee member), the Hispanic National Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association and Women Lawyers in Bergen (Board member).

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
