Two Join McManimon Firm
Jeffrey A. Sherry has joined McManimon, Scotland & Baumann in Roseland as a partner and John J. Oberdorf Jr. has joined the firm as counsel in the firm's growing corporate, securities, business, mergers and acquisitions, and banking practice. Both were formerly with LeClairRyan.
Sherry focuses his practice on advising clients in the areas of corporate law, M&A, tax, antitrust, real estate, employment law and employee benefits. Frequently, Sherry acts as clients' outside general counsel, often acting as the sole legal contact point for a client.
Oberdorf focuses his practice on counseling clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, antitrust, general corporate, commercial and tax matters, equipment leasing and financings. He represents numerous publicly and privately held entities.

Anthony M. Fassano has joined as an associate in Haddonfield. In his commercial and complex civil litigation practice, he represents a wide range of clients, including individuals, small and large companies, and governmental entities in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He represents clients in contract disputes and in toxic tort litigation. Prior to joining Archer, Fassano was an attorney in the Solicitor's Office of the U.S. Department of Labor, where he handled all aspects of Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) cases. Before that Fassano spent several years as an associate in the litigation department of a global Philadelphia law firm and was a staff attorney with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Fassano earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Rutgers Law School. He earned his M.A in English from Rutgers University, and his B.A., magna cum laude, in psychology from Rowan University.
Nicole G. McDonough
Nicole G. McDonough joined as an associate in the Hackensack. She represents national and international clients in complex commercial litigation matters before the state, federal, appellate, and bankruptcy courts of New Jersey and New York. She focuses on intellectual property disputes related to trademark and copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, and rights of publicity, for clients in the information technology, pharmaceutical, real estate, and other industries. She is also well-versed in e-discovery and evolving data management practice. McDonough is a trustee of the Bergen County Bar Association and past president of its Young Lawyers Division. She earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she was honored as a Dean Scholar. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, in political science from Northeastern University.

Jorge Garcia joined as an associate in the Haddonfield office, where he is a member of the firm's business litigation and immigration practice groups. He is a graduate of Temple University's James E. Beasley School of Law and brings a variety of civil litigation experience. Garcia was twice a summer associate at Archer. During law school, Garcia served as a legal extern to Judge M. Teresa Sarmina of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, and to New Jersey Superior Court Judge Francisco Dominguez. Garcia was a staff editor for the Temple International & Comparative Law Journal. He was also a member of Temple's nationally recognized Trial Team and Moot Court Competition Team. He won several awards for his oral advocacy and legal writing.
Leland Joins Sherman Wells
Michelle Leland
Sherman Wells Sylvester & Stamelman brings on board Michelle Leland, who joins the firm as an associate in the corporate and intellectual property practice groups. She will work out of the firm's Florham Park and New York City offices. She focuses her practice on intellectual property protection, corporate governance, and commercial contracts, including licensing agreements, vendor agreements, SaaS agreements, and professional services agreements. She represents clients in computer software and hardware, semiconductors, LEDs, wireless networking, and pharmaceuticals. She also has experience representing clients in patent disputes and in mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Sherman Wells, Leland practiced at international law firms in New York City and Washington, D.C. Her experience also includes serving as an intern for the general counsel at the U.S. Department of Energy and as a judicial intern for U.S. District Judge Noel L. Hillman of the District of New Jersey.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Rebecca Maller-Stein and Kent A. Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. Attorneys from A&O Shearman has stepped in as defense counsel for Toronto-Dominion Bank and other defendants in a pending securities class action. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement. Wilfred P. Coronato and Daniel M. Schwartz of McCarter & English have stepped in as defense counsel to Electrolux Home Products Inc. in a pending product liability lawsuit. The court action, filed Nov. 26 in New York Eastern District Court by Poulos Lopiccolo PC and Nagel Rice LLP on behalf of David Stern, alleges that the defendant's refrigerators’ drawers and shelving repeatedly break and fall apart within months after purchase.
