Gibbons Revamps Litigation Department, Names Co-Chairs
Gibbons in Newark announced the combination and realignment of its business and white-collar criminal litigation practices into the Commercial and Criminal Litigation Department, which will be co-chaired by two longtime Gibbons partners: Peter J. Torcicollo, formerly of the business and commercial litigation department, and Lawrence S. Lustberg, former chair of the criminal defense department. “By streamlining the administrative function of our former Business and Commercial Litigation and Criminal Defense Departments, we are increasing efficiencies that bring savings to our clients,” said Patrick C. Dunican Jr., chairman and managing director of Gibbons, “while also widening the scope of services we can provide on demand, with little to no learning curve or 'onramping,' as needs arise in the course of litigation.”
Miller Rejoins Bressler Amery's Labor and Employment Practice
Bressler, Amery & Ross announced that John D. Miller III has rejoined the firm as a partner in the labor and employment practice in Florham Park. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter and served as a practice group manager for its labor and employment group. Before that, he was at Greenberg Traurig as a senior associate. Miller was an employment litigation associate at Bressler from 2005 to 2006. He has also worked in-house as director, associate general counsel at UBS Financial Services Inc. from 2008 to 2010. Miller handles a variety of employment law matters in state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies, including the EEOC, and arbitration forums including AAA, FINRA and JAMS. He has litigation and counseling experience in numerous areas of employment law, including issues involving FMLA, FLSA, ADA, restrictive covenants, noncompetition issues, harassment, discrimination, and whistleblowing. Miller received his J.D. from Seton Hall Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review, and his B.A. from the University of Central Florida. Miller said: “I welcome the challenge of now being a principal at the firm and meeting the needs of clients as Bressler continues growing.” Jed L. Marcus, co-chair of the firm's labor and employment practice, said: “This is a busy time in employment law and John is a timely and talented addition to the practice.”
Scarinci Hollenbeck Welcomes Lieberman
Scarinci Hollenbeck in Lyndhurst is pleased to announce that Paul A. Lieberman, a financial services attorney with more than 30 years' experience, has joined as a partner. He will be located in the Red Bank and New York law offices. Lieberman's practice involves all aspects of the financial services industry. He also is to counsel clients on various issues related to formation and governance, regulation, litigation, compliance and risk management, transactions, supervision, cybersecurity and privacy. Lieberman joins Scarinci Hollenbeck's corporate transactions and business law and litigation groups. Prior to joining Scarinci Hollenbeck, Lieberman was a partner at Eaton & Van Winkle in New York City, where his practice focused on administrative, regulatory compliance matters, transactional matters, and all aspects of commercial litigation and ADR. “Given his wide-ranging expertise and decades of legal practice, I'm excited to welcome Paul to Scarinci Hollenbeck. I believe he will be a valuable resource for our clients and that he will establish himself as yet another example of the talented and growing pool of attorneys representing the firm,” said Russell Ascher, executive director of Scarinci Hollenbeck. “I look forward to being a part of the legal team and continuing to expand the firm's capacity to serve clients in the financial sector and beyond,” Lieberman said.
Gadhok Joins Mandelbaum Salsburg
Mandelbaum Salsburg welcomes Raj Gadhok, who joins the firm's Roseland office as a litigation partner. Previously a partner with Kozyra & Hartz in Livingston, Gadhok brings to the firm a diverse background, having represented business and professional leaders, as well as sports and entertainment clients, in complex litigation matters. Gadhok focuses on civil litigation, handling complex business disputes, employment discrimination, whistleblower and wrongful termination cases, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice cases, contested estate matters and other substantial litigation. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, and in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York. “His diverse background and strong work ethic fits nicely with both the firm's full-service approach and its culture. He adds a unique depth to our ranks,” said William S. Barrett, CEO of Mandelbaum Salsburg. “I have known many of the Mandelbaum Salsburg attorneys for years…. Two Join Helmer, Conley & Kasselman
Helmer, Conley & Kasselman brought on Ira M. Slovin as of counsel and Caitlin C. Faye as associate.
Prior to joining the firm, Slovin worked for the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, where he served in many roles, including section chief in several areas, including the Domestic Violence Unit, the Megan's Law Unit, Shooting Response Team Unit and the High Tech Crimes Unit. He also spent six years in the Homicide Unit, including three years as deputy chief. Slovin will concentrate his practice in criminal law and will work in the firm's Haddon Heights and Turnersville offices.
Prior to joining the firm, Faye served as a law clerk to Judge Francis J. Vernoia of the New Jersey Appellate Division. She will concentrate in immigration law and work in the firm's Trenton office.
Clark Joins Ansell Grimm in Ocean Township
Kevin Clark joined Ansell Grimm & Aaron as of Dec. 4, 2017. He specializes in criminal and municipal court defense. Clark obtained his undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University and his law degree from Seton Hall School of Law. He is a former deputy first assistant prosecutor for Monmouth County, where he served as director of the Computer Crimes Unit. He is a recipient of the “Career Advocacy Award” from the County Prosecutor's Association of New Jersey and is a certified information systems security professional (CISSP). Clark is also a frequent lecturer on the topics of trial practice, ethics and computer security.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
