A New Jersey appeals court has affirmed dismissal of a putative class action against plaintiff lawyers in a mass tort employment discrimination suit against Prudential Life Insurance Co.

The malpractice suit, Chinn v. Snyder, alleged that lawyers for plaintiffs in the underlying case against Prudential made claims against the settlement proceeds for costs and expenses that were actually payments to other lawyers to perform legal work on the case.
